In 1898, in order to deal with disinfection in hospitals which was a major worry in those days; Maurice Berger invented and patented a system of diffusion by catalysis. This revolutionary technology for purifying the air in enclosed rooms, to which he had the innovative idea of adding fragrance, was soon to be applied to home use in Paris and then throughout France and Europe.

LAMPE BERGER is one of the few technologies to offer true improvement in the quality of the air in your home. In fact, the diffusion of air impurities by catalysis perfected over the years by LAMPE BERGER actually destroys the molecules responsible for undesirable smells. This property makes LAMPE BERGER the indisputable ally of anyone who wants to live in a purified atmosphere while at the same time enjoying the fine diffusion of pleasant fragrances. Pet owners and smokers especially appreciate the combination of pure air with varied fragrances.

20 minutes + 2 minutes + 20 minutes

  • Fill your new lamp approximately two-thirds (2/3) full with fragrance. Allow the wick to absorb the fragrance for 20 minutes.
  • Light the burner and allow it to burn for 2 minutes. Blow the flame and extinguish it.
  • For optimal use, allow the lamp to burn for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, use the snuffer, the solid metal lid, to stop the dispersion of the fragrance.

LAMPE BERGER currently offers over 30 different fragrances enhanced with essential oils which act on your emotions and sensations through the invigorating, relaxing, or sensual effects of the essential oils. Some of the most popular fragrances include:

  • Charleston – Disclosed with voluptuous incense scents, myrrh and amber with oriental accents; warm and opulent.
  • Atlantic Tide and Ocean Breeze – Each of these scents create an ode to nature, oceanic clouds, salty mist, and/or streaming rain.
  • New Orleans – Tasted with pleasure, smells of cakes, vanilla, and hints of sweets.
  • Orange Blossom – Draws an orchard where the queens of perfumery are growing.
